The Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) is warning the public that Justin James Fraser is permanently banned from working in real estate, effective December 20, 2024.
A hearing panel found that Fraser broke serious rules by mistreating clients. As a result, his real estate licence was cancelled for life. The decision has been finalized, and there’s no chance for appeal.
RECA’s main job is to protect consumers and make sure real estate professionals follow high standards. Most professionals in the industry meet these standards, but Fraser’s actions led to this permanent ban.
To protect consumers, RECA publishes information about licence cancellations and suspensions. You can also use RECA’s ProCheck tool to check if a real estate agent, mortgage broker, property manager, or condo manager is licensed and in good standing.
This helps you ensure you’re working with someone who follows the rules and has your best interests in mind.
