Clarifying property management.

In Alberta, both property managers and condominium managers oversee real estate, but they have different responsibilities and serve different clients.

Property Manager

A property manager typically manages rental properties on behalf of an individual owner or real estate investor.

Their role includes:

  • Collecting Rent & Handling Finances – Managing rental payments, security deposits, and financial reports.
  • Property Maintenance & Repairs – Coordinating repairs, inspections, and ensuring the property remains in good condition.
  • Legal & Compliance Matters – Handling eviction processes, lease agreements, and ensuring compliance with landlord-tenant laws.
